Release of the Month: Bryan Ferry, "Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1974 Box Set", LP, Casebound CD Book, Signed Art Print, Replica of Programme, Replica Letters, Ticket Stub, Postcards

Bryan Ferry has released an outstanding box set featuring his first performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Ferry was part of the English rock band Roxy Music; he began his solo career in 1973 whilst still a member. Ferry released his two records These Foolish Things and Another Time, Another Place, which he performed for the first time in said concert at the Roya Albert Hall. Roxy Music officially said goodbye to Ferry in 1982 where he focused solely on his career after his hit album Avalon.

Bryan Ferry has created an iconic near fifty-year career in the music industry releasing sixteen albums and touring worldwide.

Standard Black Vinyl LP

The 12” standard weight black vinyl includes 14 tracks of Ferry’s live performances such as Sympathy For The Devil, I Love How You Love Me, Baby I Don’t Care, It’s My Party and many more. The LP is housed in a reverse board 3mm spine sleeve with a matt machine varnish finish.

Casebound CD Book

The CD is housed in a 16pp stapled booklet with a disc wallet glued at the back. The papers are printed on a white base and the cover is a has similar text styles as the box lid. Bryan Ferry’s name is printed in bold on with white italic printed top. This colour scheme matches the LP and overall box set.

Signed Art Print

The signed and numbered 12 x 12 Inch art print is a unique piece in this box set. The print is a black and white picture of Ferry with his signature written in metallic gold ink.

Replica of Programme

The set includes a replica of the programme which includes the setlist of songs performed at the concert. It is printed on a 12pp booklet with the inner pages having a silk cover and the outer cover with a matt lamination finish.

Replica Letters

The set includes two replica letters which states Ferry’s team asking the Royal Albert Hall’s secretary and lettings manager to book in Ferry on the 31st January 1974. They had sent them a copy of Ferry’s work but was rejected by the manager saying that Ferry’s work fit more in the rock and pop genre. But that did not stop Ferry as he performed on 19th December 1974. The replica letters are printed on tinted bond colour paper in nature green and pink.

Ticket Stub

The replica ticket stub is quite small but shows details of the day of the concert, from the date Thursday 19th December at 7.30 along with seating and pricing of the ticket. The replica ticket is printed on white offset paper.

Postcards

There are eight A5 postcards that are included in this set, they each include images of Ferry’s performance. The postcards are printed on a 360gsm white paper with a matt laminate applied to each side.
