Key Production is proud to announce the release of a new deluxe four-disc expanded limited edition boxed set titled Futurama by Be-Bop Deluxe in partnership with Cherry Red Records. Futurama was originally released in July 1975 by the Harvest record label, crafted by founding member Bill Nelson (guitars, keyboards and vocals), Charlie Tumahai (bass and backing vocals) and Simon Fox (drums) produced by Roy Thomas Baker (Queen) and recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales. Futurama was the second album by the band and the first to feature this reformed line up of contributors. 

This deluxe 4 disc limited edition box set has been newly remastered from the original tape featuring an additional 36 bonus tracks drawn from new 5.1 surround sound & stereo mixes from the original multi-track master tapes. BBC radio sessions from 1975 (including a previously unreleased “lost” BBC in concert performance from May 1975), previously unreleased out-take from the album sessions, and a previously released 1975 harvest records promo video of “Maid in Heaven” & a BBC TV old grey whistle test appearance from July 1975.

Wo are Be-Bop Deluxe?

Be-Bop Deluxe were an English progressive rock band founded in West Yorkshire, England, by singer, guitarist and principal songwriter Bill Nelson. The band's stylistic approach was described as a mix of glam rock, prog rock and traditional rock and roll. The band achieved their peak of success during the 1972 to 1978 era of their career, during which they released 5 studio albums and 3 live albums. The size of the group condensed from 5 original members to 4 before dismantling the group in 1974 to form a new line up later in the same year to create Futurama.
