Throwback Thursday: The xx "Coexist" & "The xx" Deluxe Box Set

Back in 2012, on the back the huge success of their first self-titled album, The xx released the follow-up Coexist.

At the time, everyone was waiting to see if their second work could get the same hype and be as well acclaimed as their first release.

Now we know it definitely did.

The album debuted at Number One on the Official Albums Chart with first-week sales of 58,266 copies in the United Kingdom, becoming the band's first number-one album on the chart and on the 14th September 2012, Coexist was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry.

A year later, XL Recordings and Young Turks commissioned our sister company Think Tank Media to create 2 stunning limited edition box sets featuring The xx and Coexist albums.

Each box set has been lovingly produced with die-cut for The xx logo - white on black for The xx and white with beautiful mirror card resembling an iridescent oil-spill for Coexist. With 11 individual vinyl singles tucked away inside the box, there's one for every track on the albums with the band logo etched onto the B-side making each 7" a rare single-sided release. Finishing touches include individual artwork for each track with the vinyl label matched to the logo on each sleeve.
