Steve Reid Foundation Showcase

Steve Reid Foundation was started by Gilles Peterson as a tribute to the legendary musician.

While commemorating the life and legacy of Steve Reid, the Steve Reid Foundation aims to help people working in music who are in crisis, especially those suffering from illness. The foundation also seeks to support emerging new talent through education and information initiatives.

Partnering with PRS Foundation, MODO, a Key Production Group company, offered the opportunity to Steve Reid Innovation Award winners to manufacture 500 x 12” vinyl in order to support their emerging music career.

On September 12th at Total Refreshment Centre in London, the award winners will perform in an exclusive showcase organised by Steve Reid Foundation and supported by PRS Foundation and Key Production Group.

Expect a mad handful of talent including Nubya Garcia - leading force of the resurge of jazz-influenced sound in the UK who has linked professionally with top dog jungle producer Congo Natty, Singer Songwriter Ola Szmidt - who knows just how to kill it with live looping techniques and self produced electronics whilst mixing Folk, Soul, Jazz and contemporary, The Little Unsaid - who soar with ten deep personal pieces taken from a time which could’ve been detrimental to Elliott’s career and Femi Koleoso - drummer turned Bandleader, MD and artist.

Presented by Brownswood Music.

Tickets to the showcase can be purchased on Dice.

Don’t miss a night of breaking boundaries.
