Release of the Month: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds "Lovely Creatures"
When BMG UK got in touch with the idea to produce a best of showcasing Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds entire music career we were ecstatic. What an honour to play a part in a release that will make history because it's history itself and every time we collaborate in a Nick Cave project we can be sure it is going to be something special. The attention to detail, artwork concepts and the challenge to translate the art of this amazing band into packaging was a singular challenge as our Production Team, especially Tanzy Burrill and Jack Stephenson, planned the project from ideation to reality. When packaging turns into art of craftsmanship; that's where we want to be.
“There are some people out there who just don’t know where to start with The Bad Seeds. Others know the catalogue better than I do! This release is designed to be a way into three decades of music making. That’s a lot of songs. The songs we have chosen are the ones that have stuck around, for whatever reason. Some songs are those that demand to be played live. Others are lesser songs that are personal favourites of ours. Others are just too big and have too much history to leave out. And there are those that didn’t make it, poor things. They are the ones you must discover by yourselves.” Nick Cave
Lovely Creatures: The Best of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 1984-2014 was compiled by Nick Cave and founding member Mick Harvey, with help from the current Bad Seeds. Band members past and present raided their personal archives to provide previously unseen photos and memorabilia which have been collected into a beautiful hardcover book, complimented by a series of original essays.

Limited edition box set containing 3 CDs (45 tracks), two-hour DVD featuring live performances, rare footage and interviews. With a 256 page hardcover book containing original essays, candid and personal photos taken by the band, family and friends, and reproductions of band memorabilia.
