Flash Funding for Vinyl Live Panel at The Great Escape

Key Production in association with PRS Foundation and the collaboration of Metropolis Studios and Music Glue will host a panel to choose the four Flash Funding for Vinyl winners from a shortlist of 10 applicants.

The audience will have a unique insight into how funding decisions are made.

The event will take place on Friday 18th of May at The Old Courtroom from 2.15 pm and will also be broadcasted on Facebook Live on Key Production and PRS Foundation Facebook profiles.

This year Flash Funding for Vinyl offers emerging UK artists and bands the opportunity to develop their careers with:

  • 500 X 12” Vinyl from Key Production Group
  • Release support from Music Glue
  • Audio Mastering from Metropolis Studios
  • Ongoing Promotional Support from Flash Funding Partners

The decision panel will be made up of special guest industry experts such as:

Julie Weir (Music For Nations/Sony)

An experienced music industry professional, with a wealth of knowledge of working with bands cross media, from emergent to internationally successful artists. Successes include sold-out arena tours, festival headliners, top 10 singles and a number 1 album. I also consult for major label artists on their emerging talent.

Nadia Khan (CTRL Management, Lethal Bizzle, Lady Lykez, Laughta) 

Nadia Khan has been Lethal Bizzle’s manager for 14 years, when grime was just starting out. ‘I was the only female manager I knew of. It’s changed a lot over the last few years.’ She attributes this to the mainstream popularity grime has gained. As the scene has expanded.

Nadine Shah (Artist) 

Nadine Shah is a singer, songwriter and musician. She has been described as the imagined union of PJ Harvey and Nick Cave. Having earned an early reputation for that uniquely rich, soulful voice; Nadine Shah released her debut album Love Your Dum and Mad to critical acclaim in 2013.

Damian Morgan (Artist Manager for the Orielles, Booking Agent representing members of Happy Mondays, The Smiths, Oasis and The Specials) 

Damian Morgan has worked in the music industry for over 20 years. He has worked as a self-employed live booking agent and manager, representing members of Happy Mondays, The Smiths, Oasis and The Specials. He currently co-owns Interior Presents and manages Heavenly Recordings signees, The Orielles.

*Flash Funding partners envisage selected artists are most likely to release EPs. Metropolis Studios offer free mastering (where required) for up to 4 tracks. For releases with more tracks, partners will use best endeavours to cover costs or offer discounted mastering.
