Coming 4 years after The Terror, Oczy Mlody is the 15th studio of the eclectic American band The Flaming Lips.
The official press release reports that when asked how to define the sound of this album Wayne Coyne's response has been: "it sounds like Syd Barrett meets A$AP Rocky and they get trapped in a fairy tale from the future..", rather cryptic but that's exactly what to expect by The Flaming Lips.
The album is available in the UK via Bella Union in different formats and editions, as double coloured LP + coloured 7", standard black vinyl and CD, Key Production are happy to have worked on all of those!
12-song double-LP vinyl edition - pressed on coloured vinyl and an 11-song single-LP vinyl edition (both of which include a digital download card of all 12 songs on OCZY MLODY), plus a 7” red vinyl single of the band’s cover of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” b/w “Jest (There Is)”

“’The Castle’... sports a relaxed groove in the ’Yoshimi... Pt. I’ tradition, and a high, airy melody with airer lyrics. ”SPIN.COM
“How??” is somnambulistic, surreal trip, not unlike something that could’ve been on The Soft Bulletin or Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, and the video is a typically Lips-ian dream, full of roman candles, furry suits and jumpropes of fire. ”BROOKLYNVEGAN
