Throwback Thursday: Erasure " Snow Globe" Box Set

In 2013 Erasure released a stunning limited edition Christmas box-set.

Vince and Andy channeled their holiday spirit into 13 tracks mixed between original compositions and Christmas classics.

The album first single was released on November 11th and it's a reinterpretation of the well-known "Gaudete", which got a pretty dancy make over.

Our favourite track though is definitely "White Christmas", blending together an evergreen classic with a stripped down sound that is unusual for the power pop-synth duo.

"We managed to strip everything back to bare essentials," Vince says approvingly of the minimal approach Erasure took for this recording. "White Christmas almost has a drone all the way through it. I love that."

"Snow Globe" box-set has been released under Mute and includes 3 CDs: the album, a CD of exclusive tracks and a CD containing 'The Erasure Christmas Radio Show'.

It's also full of fun perks for the fans as, a festive tree bauble, a calendar, various Christmas related postcards, a cocktail book, branded balloons, a pair of window stickers, sweets popped in brown paper bag and, cherry on the top, a Christmas card signed by Vince & Andy.
